Komatsu part number cross reference: how interchangeable numbers work

When a number does not match, there is often a superseded or interchangeable number behind it. This page covers three things: what our "interchangeable / superseded numbers" actually are, where the data comes from, and how to use it.

What "interchangeable / superseded" means here
Every part number in our database carries 2 to 4 interchangeable or superseded numbers, taken from our upstream parts data source. It means those numbers are related by interchange, or one has superseded another.
Where you see it
It is listed directly on every part page, with the numbers linked: they open the part page when we carry that number, and stay clickable when we do not (you get an alternative-sources hint instead).
Genuine vs aftermarket
We quote a genuine price and an aftermarket price. These are two different supply sources; whether one can replace the other is exactly what the interchange and supersession numbers are for, and the decision is yours based on your application — we do not guarantee fitment.
How to use it
Paste your old number into the search box. On a direct hit the part page lists its interchangeable and superseded numbers. If we do not carry the number but it appears in an interchange list, we show an alternative-sources card instead.
Still nothing
Send us the number for a manual check — contact details are in the footer.

Common questions

Are aftermarket Komatsu parts interchangeable with genuine ones?
That depends on the specific part and what you use it for. What we can do is give you the interchangeable and superseded numbers for that part and quote both sources. Fitment is the buyer’s call — we will not make a manufacturer-level guarantee on their behalf.
How do I cross-reference a Komatsu part number to an equivalent one?
Paste the number into our search box. On a direct hit the part page lists its interchangeable and superseded numbers; if we do not carry the number but it appears in an interchange list, we show an alternative-sources card.
Is a superseded number the same part?
Colloquially, superseded usually means the manufacturer replaced an old number with a new one — the old one may be discontinued — while interchangeable means either can be used in place of the other. The data we receive does not separate the two, so we write "interchangeable / superseded" on the page and do not draw a conclusion the data does not support.
Why do some of the numbers not open a page?
Because a number appearing in an interchange list is not necessarily a row in our own database. When that happens we show the alternative-sources card, or you can ask us directly.
